Mumbai: Sony SAB’s popular show Itni Si Khushi continues to captivate audiences with the heartfelt journey of Anvita (Sumbul Touqeer Khan), who navigates life’s challenges with resilience, dignity, and unwavering devotion to her siblings. The latest storyline intensifies as a custody battle escalates, and Sanjay (Rishi Saxena) feigns illness to gain sympathy. Madhuri, played by Utkersha Naik, slowly uncovers the painful truth about her son, leading to an emotionally charged confrontation.
For Naik, portraying Madhuri was one of the most emotionally demanding experiences of the show. Balancing unconditional maternal love with confronting harsh truths pushed her personal emotions to the forefront. “As a mother, this was one of the toughest scenes for me,” Naik shared. She explained that embodying a mother torn between protecting her child and acknowledging reality was deeply personal, leaving a lasting impact even after filming ended.
Naik added, “I felt a knot in my stomach during the shoot, because it didn’t feel like just a scene. Any parent would struggle to accept such a truth about their child. The internal struggle between Madhuri’s strength and a mother’s helplessness made it emotionally overwhelming. This wasn’t just anger; it was the realization of her son’s wrongdoing, and that weight stayed with me long after the cameras stopped rolling.”
